The ‘Seaside Special’, as it was known, launched in 1978 as a way of rejuvenating the Victorian pier. This now makes the show 46 years old and a ‘Heritage’ attraction in its own right. The Cromer Pier show attracts visitors from all over the country who often compare the quality of the show to London west end performances!

The Cromer Pier Pavilion theatre has approx. 500 seats making it an intimate experience.

The traditional theatre attracts quality well known acts, with familiar names such as Bradley Walsh and Steve Hewlett developing their careers here.

The show has recently won several awards including the dance and musical theatre award at the Norfolk arts awards and was a finalist in the Norfolk and Suffolk tourism awards and it has been positively reviewed in the National press over the years.

An excellent 4-star review by Robert Gore-Langton from the Daily Telegraph commented on the variety of the show mentioning “stand-out vocalists”, “a very funny, old-school Essex comic” and “the musical director who drives the show through its variety”

Adventure Attractions have led a number of initiatives to bring the theatre up to date to ensure its survival and growth whilst many other theatres throughout the UK have been forced to close.

Recent investments have included £100k on an 8Mtr LED video wall for the theatre. This provides impressive special effects, and works extremely well alongside the traditional sets to keep a balance of tradition with modern effects, improving the customer experience. This helps the Cromer Pier show keep up with the West End show production values that customers come to expect.

Went to the summer show and it was wonderful. Comedy, amazing singers, brilliant dancers. West end standards brought to Cromer.
