Adventure Attractions Celebrates Community and Creativity with RockReef’s 10th Birthday Mascot Challenge
Adventure Attractions, operator of RockReef on Bournemouth Pier, is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the 10th Birthday Mascot Challenge. This community-driven initiative brought together local talent, schools, and partners to celebrate a decade of adventure and family entertainment.
The challenge, which invited children across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole to design a mascot embodying RockReef’s spirit of courage, exploration, and excitement, showcased the incredible creativity of over 100 young artists. It is a testament to the thriving community connections Adventure Attractions champions in the areas it serves.
After careful judging, 12-year-old Izabela Kaczynska’s thoughtful and vibrant design was selected as the winner. Izabela’s entry reflected RockReef’s core values and mission while demonstrating a deep understanding of what makes the attraction unique. Her design was further enhanced through collaboration with Bennett Roberts, a BA (Hons) Graphic Design student from Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), ensuring her vision was brought to life with professional precision.
James Balcazar, Marketing Manager at Adventure Attractions, commented:
“We are incredibly proud of how the Mascot Challenge has fostered collaboration across our community. From the schools encouraging their students to participate to the expertise of AUB and support from local partners such as BCP Council and the Daily Echo, this initiative has proven the value of working together to inspire creativity and celebrate what makes our destinations unique.”
The winning mascot, alongside the top 10 designs, will feature in a dedicated exhibition at RockReef curated by AUB. This showcase celebrates local talent and highlights how Adventure Attractions continues to deliver social, economic, and cultural value to Bournemouth and beyond.
Adventure Attractions remains committed to supporting the communities where it operates by delivering unique experiences that combine entertainment, education, and creativity. Through initiatives like the Mascot Challenge, the company continues to strengthen its partnerships with schools, local businesses, and creative institutions to build meaningful connections and encourage young people to discover their potential.
The exhibition is now open at RockReef on Bournemouth Pier. For further information, visit rockreef.co.uk.
